Hack the format. Hack the idea.

Format = the artifact you ship. Ideas = the pain you fix. Either one wins. Both wins harder.

Format what you build

Skills wake websites

Add an agent layer to any URL you already use daily.

Agents habitat the web

Long-running agents that live across tabs and remember state.

Cool HTML, anywhere

A standalone HTML page deployed on Tabbit — the agent's full surface, so stars stay countable.

Ideas what wins minds

Break campus chores

The dragged-out stuff every student secretly hates doing.

Add real fun to campus life

A tiny dose of joy slipped into something dull and daily.

Solve a 50-tab workflow in 1 click

One click replaces an entire session of switching and copy-pasting.

Build web agents · Any tool · any stack · two paths in

Any agent IDE works. Tabbit Browser ships them faster — one slash.

Codex, Claude Code, Cursor, Cline, Aider, Continue — whatever you already build in. Or skip the IDE entirely and build inside Tabbit's chat. Either way it lands as a shareable web agent.

Path A · Any agent IDE

Build in any agent IDE.

Grab a Tabbit playbook (a SKILL.md recipe + scaffolding), drop it into the IDE you already ship in. Out comes a skill folder ready to inject.

  1. 1
    Download a playbook
    From tabbit.ai/playbooks — pick a template (arXiv-brew, course-quizzer, campus fixer…), get the SKILL.md recipe.
  2. 2
    Build it in your IDE
Paste the playbook. Your agent of choice carries the spec, tools, scaffold, and tests through to a finished skill folder.
Codex Claude Code Cursor Cline Aider Continue Windsurf + anything else that runs an agent loop
  3. 3
    Inject in Tabbit Chat
Open Tabbit Browser → @ menu → Select Local Folder → pick your skill folder → type /tabhacks. Chat parses, dry-runs, debugs, registers — your web agent is live.
    @ 📁 Select Local Folder
    /tabhacks parse dry-run register ✓
Use forever after: /<skill-name> in any Tabbit chat.
→ Live web agent · invokable with /<skill-name>
Get Playbook.md → Open source · MIT · works offline
Path B · Beta · open to all

Build it inside Tabbit Chat.

The chat itself is the composer. Drop a folder, fire a slash command, the chat takes it from spec → live skill.

Tabbit Chat @ local folder + /tabhacks Chat becomes Composer build · test · register · run

What a shipped web agent looks like.

Embeds welcome: Tabbit-hosted HTML (the agent's output, so stars are countable), YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn. The web agent is the shareable artifact.

FAQ · The small print, made small

Quick answers. No fine print.

Seven things people ask before registering.

Is the cash prize taxable?

Likely yes — treat it as income. U.S. winners receive a 1099-MISC if cash exceeds $600. International winners receive a 1042-S where required. We pay gross — you handle your filing.

What's the "credits gift"?

Every registered builder gets tokenmaxxed — every /tabhacks run on Tabbit Browser is unmetered all summer, no quotas. Top 100 builders get an additional $200 USD personal credit grant after the prize ceremony, valid 12 months.

Is there a certificate?

Yes — every finalist gets a digital certificate signed by Tabbit + ICWSM (verifiable on a public registry). Winners get a physical certificate mailed. TabHacker status appears on your LinkedIn forever, with priority access to future events.

Why launch at AAAI's Web & Social Media Conference?

ICWSM is the world's most serious gathering on how the web actually gets used. Web agents are about to change that picture entirely. Serious crowd, low ceremony — exactly the audience that should see the first wave of skills ship.

What's next after the first track?

Ambassador tracks roll all summer and into fall — any region, any city, any campus. This summer / fall TabHacks is focused on web + campus. If you want to host a track at your school or city, the ambassador program opens registration in June.

Can graduates / non-students join?

Yes — no limits. Student, lab researcher, indie hacker, founder, sabbatical creator — if you build agents, this is for you. Campus-anchored tracks have separate sub-pools; the main pool is open globally.
